Before paying: total cost, delivery and documents

Ask for an itemized quote to a named destination: goods, packaging, freight, insurance, clearance, possible duties, taxes and local delivery. Establish whether the quote ends at a port, warehouse or your door, who handles each step and which costs are excluded. Do not compare unit prices alone.

Specify the destination and purpose: personal use, business use or resale. Before paying, establish which documents are needed for that product category and country, and whether they cover your exact model. Website language does not determine jurisdiction; a logo or a file named “certificate” does not establish applicability.

Alibaba, AliExpress, 1688 and direct purchasing are different scenarios. Check the current terms of your own order: payment method, documents, protection and dispute process. Do not carry promises from one platform to another. A request to change the payee or payment method is a reason to pause and verify the terms again.
